*This is a kraft recipe that I have loved for years. I made a full batch a while ago and decided it needed to be on here. This recipe is enough to make 2 meals for my family. So we usually eat half then I freeze the rest for a later day when I'm not in the mood to cook. :) lus it's cheap to make, my fav. part and also very yummy! This works out to be about 30 min. beginning to finish. Bonus!
YOU'LL NEED:
-1 box rigatoni pasta $.88
-1 small can of tomato paste $.50
-1/4 c. sun-dried tomato salad dressing $.25
-1 tbs. parsley $.05
-1 pkg. sausage (I use the sage flavored, but any kind will work) $2.30
-1/2 red onion, sliced free from garden
- 1/4 c. parmesan $.25
TOTAL=$4.23 (this is 2 meals for my family so it's really $2.11 per meal)
DIRECTIONS:
-Boil some water for your pasta.
-While water boils, cook your sausage. Once sausage is cooked add sliced onions.
-Drop your pasta and cook it according to package directions.
-let onions cook a little while with sausage. Then add your dressing & paste.
-let that cook for a while. then the last few min. add the parmesan and sprinkle with parsley.
-Toss pasta with sauce & enjoy!
